Hi Ernest, mi name is Pablo LW7DKG. I´m making a 15 elements yagi (center freq. 1275 mhz) with elements thru the boom non insulated. I´m using DL6WU´s excel program.
I would like to know if the ground of the connector´s dipole is connected to the boom or is insulated.
Thank you
best regards
PABLO
Hello Pablo,
The connector is electrically connected to the boom. This is not strictly necessary, but I would recommend this, at least for lightning protection.
